We have His Holiness Vedavyasa Priya Swami with us in Sydney from 28th September – October 4th. His Holiness has been serving his spiritual master, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness well before his spiritual initiation in 1977. He has dedicated his life to spreading the soul-rescuing teachings and philosophy of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. In October we have special guests in Sydney the MAYAPURIS who will, along with Sri Prahlada, conduct a Sacred Rhythm Retreat at Mangrove Creek NSW on 7th-9th October, and a Chant Fest Spring Immersion program at Manly Youth Centre on October 15th. On the 5th of September we celebrated Sri Radhastami at Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple – the appearance day of Srimati Radharani – Krishna’s eternal consort and the Divine Mother of creation. The program consisted of kirtan, class by Sri Prahlada Prabhu, Gaura-arati & kirtan, Abhishek (Deity bathing – with kirtan by Sri Prahlada Prabhu), and a grand prasadam feast. Many thanks to those who joined us for this festival and especially everyone who assisted. Please see some photos below…
Again the Sunday School program in the temple has begun and runs during school term time every fortnight. Please see the details below how to register with organiser Vilasa-manjari and teach your children how to love Krishna and enjoy the fun filled activities each session.
As usual the Sunday Program runs each week from 4.30pm with arati and kirtans, prasadam available from 5.30pm and discourse at 6.15pm.
