Celebrating Gita Jayanti
Sunday, 11th December 2011
Gita Jayanti is an annual celebration to commemorate the day when lord Krishna rendered his philosophical teachings to Arjuna on the first day of the 18 day battle of Kurukshetra. When Arjuna refused to fight against Kauravas in the battle, Lord Sri Krishna expounded the truth of life thereby giving birth to one of the world’s greatest scriptures, the Bhagavad Gita.

Gita Jayanti is observed on Sunday 11.12.2011 at ISKCON Sydney, 180 Falcon Street, North Sydney from 1PM onwards. We will celebrate this day by reciting the Bhagavad Gita verses from chapter 1 to 18. This will be followed by a fire sacrifice (Havan) and Sunday feast. Please come and be part of Gita Jayanti celebrations and be blessed.

If you would like to recite the shlokas please contact Charudeshna Radhika Dasi on 0423402563 or volunteering for any other services please contact Somendra Krishna Das on 0433242148 or Nitin Bala on 0407135952.
