I followed a link from Kurmas Facebook page where I saw this and was suddenly hungry
4 dl (400 ml) sieved wholegrain spelt
A pinch of salt
1/2 dl (50 ml) sugar
200 g cold butter in cubes
(1 teaspoon baking powder – optional)
Less than 1/2 dl (50 ml) milk
1 part roasted pecans, powdered
1 part powder sugar
1 part butter
1 part strained, thick yoghurt
Seeds of a vanilla pod
Zest of a lemon
Squeeze of lemon juice
Powder sugar, syrup or honey
Mix the flour and salt.
Rub in the butter.
Mix in the sugar.
Add enough milk to form a ball.
Mix the dough as little as possible.
Place in the fridge for 30 minutes or longer.
Mix the ingredients of the pecan paste until smooth.
Cut the figs in half or in slices.
Roll out the dough with the help of flour.
Cover a pie form with the dough.
Smear the pecan filling on the bottom.
Place the figs on the top.
Bake in 200 C (392 F) for about 45 minutes or until the crust is golden.
Sprinkle with powder sugar, syrup or honey before serving.
