Next Saturday’s Sydney Spectacular –
The festival of the chariots (Rathayatra), the worlds oldest procession dating back thousands of years is to hit the streets of Sydney on Saturday 28th March.
Every year the Sydney Ratha Yatra is a blast of great fun. Chanting and dancing and pulling the chariot through the streets with Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva and Subhadra smiling and waving from the upper deck.
Come along and join the crowd, you will enjoy yourself and gain unlimited spiritual benefit.
The parade starts at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour at 2.30 & winds its way through the streets of Sydney returning to Darling harbour at 4:30 for a continuation of the festivities with food stalls and entertainment.
Everyone is invited to take part & join in the parade.
There will be a colourful festival at Tumbalong Park throughout the afternoon from 1pm featuring music, dance, entertainers, food stalls & the throwing of the colours (Holi). Colour sessions are from 1-2:30 & from 4:30-6:30
