His Holiness Jaypataka Swami Maharaja’s Vyas pooja was celebrated with great zeal by his disciples. ISKCON Sydney Temple as a venue adorned the grand celebrations with enthusiastic disciples and extended family members. The festival was a wonderfully organised effort. In spite of it being a working day a good number of devotees turned up to assist with the celebrations. The euphoric mood was palpable throughout the temple. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Vyas pooja a big success.

Seminar on Krishna’s Vrindavana Pastimes

His Holiness Bhakti Charu Maharaja conducted this 3 day seminar on Krishna’s Vrindavana pastimes over the Easter weekend. Maharaja took us on a spiritual sojourn into the heart of Krishna’s pastime places the pastures and groves of Vrindavana. With his consummate artistry of narration His Holiness painted on the literary canvas that transcendental world of eternity, knowledge and bliss which is the abode of the Supreme Lord. His Holiness’s profound spiritual realisations are deeply engaging and catalytic.

Sunday School

Thanks to all parents for bringing their kids to the Sunday school classes to date this year.
This week is our last class for the first term of the school year. Just a reminder that Sunday school is normally every Sunday during the school term.
The classes will resume after the school holidays on Sunday April 22. We will confirm this date in the next few weeks.

If you need to enroll your children for the Sunday school please contact Prananatha das or Vilas Manjari mataji at prananatha@gmail.com or vilas@pacific.net.au.

We have started Bharat Natyam Dance Classes in the temple on Sunday from 6.00PM to 7.00PM. They are conducted by Malobika Bhale-who is a professional dancer.

Krishna’s Vegetarian Kitchen a unique VEGETARIAN food joint and provides only vegetarian and vegan food in the temple premises.

This Kitchen serves dinner in variety of dishes, such as Continental, Asian, Indian, Italian, Spanish, Mexican etc. They also assist in catering.

Srila Rupa Goswami glorifies the holy names of Krishna:

“I do not know how much nectar the two syllables ‘Krish-na’ have produced. When the holy name of Krishna is chanted, it appears to dance within the mouth. We then desire many, many mouths. When that name enters the holes of the ears, we desire many millions of ears. And when the holy name dances in the courtyard of the heart, it conquers the activities of the mind, and therefore all the senses become inert.” (Cc. Antya 1.99)

For the first time at Radha Radhanath Temple in Durban will a gathering of some of the ISKCON world’s foremost kirtan singers guide us in accessing the deep treasures of Krishna’s holy names.

Together with BB Govinda Swami and Madhava prabhu, taking us through twenty four hours of relishable meditation will be: Bhakti Caitanya Swami, Indradyumna Swami, Kadamba Kanana Swami, Yadubara prabhu and many other stalwart kirtan worshippers.

It is recommended to participate in the yajna for at least eight hours daily, if not the entire day. Your life will be transformed!

We also had the opportunity to hear about a new development being planned called the New Govardhana Parikrama path, which eventually will mirror the Parikrama around Govardhana hill in India.
