Public Deity Dressing In Sydney

Recently the statue of Queen Victoria which sits on a large sandstone plinth at the front of the Queen Victoria Building has undergone a makeover that leaves her looking like a temple deity. As part of a program called “Re-awakening our statues for a modern day audience” the statue of Queen Vic has been robed in a dress a hat and a shawl. There also a broach sporting a cameo of one of the Queens favourite pet dogs.

When I was getting off the bus on the way to way I thought Srimati Radharani had come out from the temple to visit with the locals. Hare Krishna.
